The Q Spot is the family business of Eric and Niecola Roberts.

Eric, who was born in Texas, has done many things in his life --
including boxing, operating restaurants, and riding bulls
professionally...though he prefers his bones intact, so he decided to
leave them bulls alone. "Restauranting" is in his blood.  His
grandfather owned and operated Roberts Café in Louisiana for over
40 years ago and after spending 20 year in the restaurant business
himself, he headed out West to settle down.  His love for authentic
Texas food, especially BBQ never left him.

Once in California, Eric met a nice Georgia Gal named Nicola at his
local church and it didn't take long to realized they enjoyed many of
the same things...such as good gospel music, good food, and
serving others.

While growing up, Nicola's family was in the business of taking care
of folks with special needs.  She often found herself cooking for
large groups of people at one time (usually around 40 give or take a
few), which sparked in her a love for the kitchen and a passion for
preparing good food for good people.

Soon Eric and Nicola got married, and they were blessed with three
lovely children: Eric Jr. (...who goes by "E.J."), Beautiful (...who they
call Beau), and Baby Trinity (...named that 'cause she was their third
youngen).

Along the way, they did a little catering (mainly for their friends and
family) but the word got out about their delicious catering grew and
grew; it actually exploded.  As a result, they decided to go into
business full time preparing the two foods they loved the most,
Texas style BBQ and Shrimp...and the rest is history.

That's their story, what's yours?

What Makes Us Different?
Here at The Q Spot we do things a
little different from most BBQ
restaurants.

If you notice, they can only call their
food BBQ’d Not Smoked!  That
means they bake it in an oven, add
liquid smoke, and finish it on the
grill to give it grill marks. However,
they never actually smoke it.  But,
at
The Q Spot we do things the old
fashioned way; low and slow.

We wood smoke our meats for up to
16 hours! That’s why our plates are
served with the sauce on the side
so you can taste the rich flavor of
the wood. We use only the finest
selection of meats that we hand rub
with spices and herbs.

Real wood is the key difference!
Quality, Hospitality, and
Old-fashioned Customer Service
now that’s truly
“Authentic Texas Style BBQ”!
"No Sauce Needed!"
